Analysis of questionnaire
In the questionnaire that has been filled in, information was given about what employers expect of their employees. The questionnaire was filled in by a factory manager who worked for Knauf insulation. He has many personal attributes that he values his employees to have and that he is expected to have by his employers.

Self-motivation is personal attributers that he is expected to have and that he expects his employees to have, self-motivation is achieved by setting targets and objectives. Also achievement is recognised and employees will get rewarded. Also as a manager his employers expect him to have leadership skills to be able to manage his other employees. This employee is expected to set strategy and motivate and develop the other staff that he is managing. This will make the business work in a much better way if there is a clear leader and all of the staff are being motivated by this leader and he is developing all of his staff to work better. Respect is another personal attribute that employees are expected to abide by, within the company employees are expected to respect all other employees and if they don’t they will be punished for it. The employees are just expected to respect each other this should be something that is already done and disrespect to other employees should not occur. As a manager in the company he is expected to be reliable and his employees depend on him. He is expected to be consistent by all of his employees. They also depend on him to make the right strategic decisions within the company to ensure job security. As a manager these are personal attributes expected of him by his employee. It is important that he does all of these things because he is the manager of the factory and the other employees cannot make the decisions so they have to be well thought through and made by the factory manager. This will ensure the factory is successful and runs well. Another personal attributes in that is expected of the staff in this company is punctuality. All staff are expected to be punctual this is because if they are not they will let other staff down. Also for frequent offenders there are disciplinary charges. If you have a job in the company punctuality is vital and you don’t want to let all of your other employees down because not as much work will get done and the company will not function properly. As a manager of the factory he has to be on time so that he is there to make decisions and run meetings etc. Another personal attribute expected of this employee is being able to problem solve, this includes tools such as 5 why, fishbone diagrams and higher level 6 sigma tools. Also within the company there values are commitment and determination are required because within the company results are not easy to achieve and problems are hard to solve. Therefore all of the employees need to be determined to keep on working even if they don’t meet the targets. As the manager of the factory his employer expects him to work independently to do this he sets himself personal targets and also he has experience within the jobs so, knows what is expected of him. He knows what to do when working in his spare time and sets personal targets to make sure that he gets it all done. Another personal attribute that employees expect within this company is that you manage your time well to do this he sets himself daily targets that need to be achieved within that certain amount of time. As the manager of the factory team work is vital for this employee, he need to ensure that the whole factory is working together with good communication between each other. To do this he ensures that all team members input is valued by each member of staff, also each member of staff encourages each other to ensure that all objectives are met. Also another personal attribute that is valued by employers is being able to use written, numerical and verbal skills while working within your job. All of these things are used within Knuaf insulation, emails are used on all levels of the business for communication, spread sheets are used for calculations and data manipulation and active participation in meetings is valued by employees this uses good communication skills. Planning and organisational skills are needed within this job in order to set business objectives and plan projects to delivery business goals. Also personal targets are required to be set to ensure that all necessary work get completed. Health and safety is also implemented into the company and is very important. The company has many health and safety rules and procedures. All employees are trained in H&S and the H&S manager helps ensure compliance. The company also has to adhere to legalisation. The company has experts that take external legal advice and wisely uses it within the company. Group policies and procedures take legal compliance into account. It is important that the company adheres to legalisation and take the advice that is given to them. Knuaf insulation also carry out many organisational procedures within the company. For example disciplinary procedure, recruitment, objective setting, reporting, best practice sharing with other parts of organisation, people development and training, communication, new investments. Analysis of questionnaire
This questionnaire was filled in by someone who works for the department for work and pensions. She is an executive officer and personal adviser. From the questionnaire that has been filled in I have found out what her employers expect of her and what personal attributes she is expected to have.

One of the things that is expected of this employee is self-motivation, in order to motivate herself within the job the company sets targets to make sure the goals are achieved. Another personal attribute that is valued by employees is having good leadership qualities. This employee uses them within her job by ensuring effective communication. She also has to treat everyone equally and fairly including colleagues and even customers, no customer should be treated with more respect than others they should all be equal. All employees are expected to respect each other to ensure this the company has many policies in place to make sure no employee is treated with disrespect. Such as the disciplinary policy. This employee is expected to be reliable and other colleagues depend on her within the work place. Her employer expects her to arrive on time and be able to do the job that her at hand so she has to be reliable for those reasons also her colleagues depend on her to be on time because if she is not in work on time then they will have to cover her work and this is not expected of them. The company also enforces punctuality for all employees they have flexible working arrangements to make sure that they can always be in work on time and when they should be. Also a time sheet is kept and checked weekly to make sure that all employees have been in on time and been punctual when they should have been. This personal attribute seems to be valued very high for this company and they take many precautions to make sure everyone is in on time. She is also expected to use problem solving within her job. They have  very strict procedures to adhere to when solving a problem and it is usually generic. So solving a problem requires a lot of thinking because they have a lot of very strict rules to be thinking about while trying to solve a problem. The employers also expect her to use determination in the job an example of this would be doing your best for each client but while doing so laws and procedures have to be followed. But if a client has a problem the employees are expected to do the best that they can to solve their problem and they should be determined to do this. Another personal attribute valued by employers is being able to work independently. In the company each client is individual and different interviewing skills are required for different clients. Also each client is individual to an employee so they need to work independently to use the best communication skills suited to that employee so that they can best solve the problem. All employees are expected to manage their time on an independent level, they will have diary’s so that they can allocate time slots to clients and also block out times for meetings to ensure effective communication with other colleagues. These two things ensure that an employee’s time is organised and split wisely between different things that need to be done. Team work is also essential and is expected from each employee within the business. This is because the wholes department works as a team they have weakly 1 hour meeting so that they can share ideas about how to improve and make things better everyone has an input and all input is valued. Within the business she is expected to use verbal skills all of the time because she has to advise each client on the best thing to do. In order to achieve this she first has to speak to the customer and get an understanding of their problem so she can work out the best way to solve their problem. There are little numerical skills needed within the job. Her employers expect her to use planning and organisational skills within the job. She does this by planning her weeks in advance, so that she can then book necessary room space. She also has to be flexible with plans because things may change. Also she has objectives to reach and she needs to ensure that she achieves them and planning and organising things will help with this. Health and safety is a big part in the company, they have health and safety reps who do regular checks. Also quite regularly all of the staff read the local implementation plan which deals with the “what if” part of health and safety. So if a particular thing happens within the company then the member of staff will know the procedure and what to do. The company also has to follow organisational procedures for example they carry out risk assessments on work stations and meeting rooms and panic alarms have to be checked weekly because if one doesn’t work then it could be a very big risk to the member of staff who is using the room with that alarm in. Also security are advised in advance if any violent customers are expected to be coming in so that they can prepare for any problems. Also all of the equipment has to be used correctly and any hazards or risks can be assessed and sorted out.
